Welcome to my blog — It’s been a while since I’ve done any sort of long-format writing, but I’m going to give it a shot!

Writing is something I’ve always enjoyed, and as I settle into Singapore I find I have a lot of time for myself on the weekends. As I make friends I’'ll probably have less time to blog but I’ll try to stick with it somewhat regularly. I’m hopeful that this will help give friends and family back home a more personal account of what it is like to live in, travel, and explore Southeast Asia and beyond. Selfishly, I think it’ll be neat for my future self reflect on these as well.

That being said — what can you expect here? Well, probably some permutation of ‘Live, Laugh, Love’ from that signage in literally every mid-western American home. To be clear, I’m not going to document my love life ( sorry to disappoint those drama Queens out there ) but I will share about what I love, such as food, friends, and family. I’ll probably also share about the boring stuff, the funny crap, and the weird. I won’t chat about work, but I will chat about personal projects I’m working on! Basically, I want this blog to be my public journal so basically everything personal is on the table.

I want you to be involved as well, so I’ve left the comments section open. If you have questions or just want to say “Hello!” please leave your name and message, but I won’t want this to be a replacement for me<>you communication, so please give me a call if we haven’t chatted in a while. I’ll call you too.

Oh also - the quality or lengths of my writings will vary wildly. I’ll experiment with the format. I also tend to write how I speak. So be prepared for a bit of whiplash as I figure out what format works best for me.
